The difference between a Librarian and Library Technician

Have you ever tried to explain to someone what you do and they can't comprehend it. I try to explain that I am studying to be a Library Technician to which they reply, what will that make you a Librarian. Insert HUGE sigh here. My goolly goodness it is hardto get it understood the difference between a Librarian and a Library Technician. Basically Library Techs do most of what Librarians do without the managerial duties. Spread the message people. We Library Techs want to be recognised and valued as our own entity.

My first time

I like to think I am reasonably young at not quite 34, however this whole blogging thing scares the criminy out of me. So for my first blog I thought I would talk about my extremely adorable puppy Holly. She is named after my favourite Audrey Hepburn character Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffanys. Holly is no princess. She loves to get dirty. Any speck of water in the yard she will find it, including the mossy covered water fountain in my front yard or the muddy creek next to our house. Holly is definelty a people person. Family, friends, strangers will all get her custom bum shaking, tail wagging greeting. I like to believe she saves the best of her love for me. Anyhow enough for now. I will blogg more soon. Ciao from the newbie.
